Pakistan Math Team Selection
The Pakistan Mathematical Modeling Challenge is the official National Competition designed to serve as the qualifying stage for the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IMMC) organized by The Consortium for Mathematics and Its Applications.
Following the competition, the top participants will be selected and appointed as members of the Pakistan Mathematics Team.
This team will be representing the Pakistan in the IMMC 2024.
Participants' performance in the competition will be evaluated for recognition, which may include distinctions such as Honorable Mention, Meritorious, or Outstanding based on their solutions.
Registration Guide
Students from each group (consisting of 4 or less students enrolled in the same school) must register for the competition individually or together and enter the name of their group leader. Students can also register individually in which case they should enter their own name as group leader. Both individuals and teams can be selected for the Pakistan Math Team.
Individual Registration

Fill Out the Registration Form: Complete the registration form with your personal details. Ensure that you provide accurate information, including your full name and contact details.

Group Leader Details: In the section asking for a group leader, simply enter your own name. This indicates that you are registering as an individual participant.

Payment Process: Enter your own name under the "Paying for:" question. After filling out the form, change the payment amount to PKR 2500 and make the registration payment.

Finalize Your Registration: Review all the information you have entered. Make sure everything is correct before submitting your form. The payment will be processed in 48 hours, you will receive a confirmation email with further details about the competition.
Team Registration

Team Agreement: Before registering, select a group leader among yourselves. The group leader will act as the main point of contact. Each group should have four or less students enrolled in the same school.

Visit the Official Registration Page: All team members must individually or collectively fill the registration form.

Fill Out the Registration Form: Each team member must fill out the registration form with their personal details. It is crucial that all members input the same group leader name if registering separately to ensure your team is correctly registered together.

Payment Process: After completing the form, group members can make payment individually or collectively using the registration form. Individual Payment: If a group member is paying for themselves, they should enter their own name in the "Paying for:" field. Group Payment: If some or all members of a group are registering together: They should enter the names of all members they are paying for in the "Paying for:" field. Please list each member’s name clearly separated by commas. For example: "John Doe, Jane Smith, Alex Johnson".

Change Amount: If you are "Paying For" one member, the payment amount will be PKR 2,500. For two members, it will be PKR 5,000; for three members, PKR 7,500; and for four members, PKR 10,000.

Finalize Your Registration: Once all payments are processed, the team will be officially registered. A confirmation email will be sent to the group leader within 48 hours.

Deadline: Pay attention to the registration deadline. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Registration Fee: Registration Fee is PKR 2,500 per student for both individual and group registration.

Registration Deadline
Students from each group (consisting of 4 or less students enrolled in the same school) or individuals must register for the competition by 30th March 2024.
29th April, 2024
Pakistan Math Team Announcement
The top team from the national round (Pakistan Math Team) will advance to the International round (IMMC), their solutions from the national round will be submitted to IMMC.
8th-12th April, 2024
Competition Dates
Students have a 5-day window to solve the math challenge starting from the day they receive it. Teams will receive the problem between the 8th and 12th of April.
June 2024
International Round (IMMC) Result
Results from the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge will be published in June 2024.
There is only one problem to be solved for the Pakistan Mathematical Modeling Challenge during the 5-day period. Once your team is selected, your solution for this initial problem will be sent forward to be judged by the International Mathematical Modeling Challenge (IMMC) Organizing Committee. There will be no additional problems after the national round.

Rewards
After the international round, solutions will be categorized as Successful Participant, Honorable Mention, Meritorious, or Outstanding. Teams will receive notification of the results in June 2024, and they will be posted on the IMMC website. News releases will be formulated for local and national dissemination, alongside announcements in professional publications.
Outstanding teams will have their Solution Papers (or solution abstracts) published online. Recognition information will additionally be disseminated to local newspapers and radio/television outlets.
Format
The format of the competition is online.

A team of up to 4 students enrolled in the same school may register for the competition.

The competition problem will be dispatched to all registered teams by the 30th of March 2024.

Each team must submit the solution by their respective deadline.

The submitted solutions will undergo evaluation by National Organizers.

Top participants will be selected for the Pakistan Math Team and their solutions will be sent to the IMMC committee for evaluation.
Eligibility
Students must be enrolled in School Year 8-13/O Levels/A Level/Higher Secondary Education.

All students who have not yet enrolled in a university are eligible to participate.
